Description :
EDTA is a white crystal powder. It is soluble in sodium hydroxide, sodium carbonate and ammonia solution, soluble in boiling water, slightly soluble in cold water, insoluble in alcohol and general organic solvents.
Application:
1. EDTA is an important complexing agent. It can be used as bleaching fixing solution, dyeing assistant, fiber treatment assistant, cosmetic additive, blood anticoagulant, detergent, stabilizer and synthetic rubber polymerization initiator.
2. EDTA is an excellent chelating agent for calcium and magnesium ions. It is used as a chelating agent for water emulsion polymerization to remove metal ions such as Ca2+, Mg2+, Fe2+ and Fe3+.
3. It is often used to soften the water quality of boilers to prevent scaling.
